House okays bill moving Barmm polls to May 2026

MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives approved on third and final reading House Bill 11144 which aimed to move the May 2025 elections of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Barmm) to 2026.

Under the bill, the first regular election for the Bangsamoro government shall be held on May 11, 2026.
