MANILA, Philippines — Despite encountering a rough shooting night on Sunday, coach Tim Cone said he's proud of the fact that Barangay Ginebra played a grind-it-out game against Eastern before falling, 93-90 in their PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup match at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Their legs practically absent after playing their third game in five days, the Gin Kings shot a horrendous 1-of-19 from three point range (5 percent) and 31-of-72 from the field overall (43 percent) against a Hong Kong club team that in contrast, made 51.5 percent (35-of-68) and had 27 assists.
