WASHINGTON, D.C. — Former United States House speaker Nancy Pelosi has been hospitalized after sustaining an injury during an official engagement in Luxembourg, a spokesman said.

Pelosi, 84, was in Europe with a bipartisan congressional delegation to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. In a statement, her spokesman Ian Krager said she was "currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals," but would be unable to attend the remaining events on her trip.
