SM Foundation provides 14-week training for 100 Laoag farmers

THE Philippine agriculture sector continues to grow, employing 25 percent of the country's 49.7 million labor force as of November 2023 and contributing 9 percent to the nation's GDP in 2022, according to the Department of Agriculture.

Since 2007, the SM Foundation's Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) on Sustainable Agriculture program has been empowering farmers from vulnerable communities with modern farming techniques and entrepreneurial skills.
