Like many kids raised in a multicultural household, Filipino-British entrepreneur Michael Needham's core memories resemble a mixed tapestry of experiences from his father's and mother's sides. While some might say these varied experiences leave mixed-race kids struggling to find belonging in between two worlds, Needham remembers his childhood with nothing but fondness.


"My view of the Philippines was very much provincial — very modest and simple — and I mean that in the best way. I would trade my things now [if I could] for kind of an easier, simpler life [like that]," Needham reflected in an interview with The Sunday Times Magazine.
