A talented team of young chess players from the Philippines captured the bronze medal in the rapid event of the 18th Asian Schools Chess Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand, from Dec. 1 to 11.
The team composed of Woman National Master Millery Gen Subia of Cabanatuan City, Mary Janelle Tan of Cagayan De Oro City and Elle Castronuevo of Cavite City placed third in the under-11 girls category.
