Banks seen poised for 2025 growth

THE Philippine banking sector is set to deliver a strong performance in 2025, Maybank Research said on Friday, highlighting its resilience amid a shifting macroeconomic landscape.

'We have a positive view on the banking sector in FY25 (fiscal year 2025) as we expect NIMs (net interest margins) to remain high and loan growth strong,' the research unit said in a report.
