THE Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $30-million loan to support public-private partnership (PPP) initiatives in the Philippines, aiming to enhance infrastructure development, promote climate resilience and improve the country's competitiveness.

"The Philippines is considered one of the leaders in the Asia and the Pacific region in the use of PPPs as a modality for addressing infrastructure gaps and pursuing sustainable growth and development," ADB Country Director Pavit Ramachandran said in a statement on Friday.
