DUE to a prolonged power outage caused by severe damage to the submarine cable supplying electricity, the provincial government of Surigao del Norte has declared a state of calamity in Siargao and Bucas Grande Islands.
Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan unanimously approved the resolution for the declaration during their 116th Regular Session on Monday at the Capitol Compound in Surigao City.
