Malibu residents share harrowing accounts of a ferocious fire that tore through, destroying homes and forcing thousands to evacuate. As firefighters battled the blaze in the canyons above Malibu, a resident of the small California coastal town describes the blaze that destroyed several homes overnight: "Our trees are catching on fire. Houses are catching on fire. There was fire every single direction you look...There were hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of acres on fire and embers flying everywhere."
