FROM character assassination to political persecution and now possibly three impeachment complaints against Vice President Inday Sara Duterte, the two years and six months of the Marcos administration are defined by the break-up of the UniTeam and the setting aside of the duly elected vice president of the country. The hope is that the impeachment could lead to her being removed from the position while others are even talking about her perpetual disqualification from public office, the final nail to take her out of the 2028 race and beyond.
Who authorized and approved the grant of the confidential fund (CF) of the vice president? When he granted and approved the request, what were the reasons for doing so? What were the instructions given by the chief executive to the vice president? Was the CF granted because of her designation as co-chair of the NTF-Elcac last May 2023? Only the president can clear this and since he allowed all the attacks against the vice president and the officers of the Office of the Vice President, how can he now say that he does not agree with the impeachment? It seems nobody follows PBBM at the rate of impeachment cases are being filed. Then again, when has the president been the decision-maker in this administration?
