BACOLOD CITY — The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Negros Occidental has found Calatrava Mayor Marilyn Era guilty of grave abuse of authority and gross negligence of duty after she fired two doctor-consultants of the Calatrava Municipal Hospital before their contracts ended.

The complainants, Lewyn Torres and Kristene Ureta, claimed they were hired as medical-consultants of the hospital from April 1 to June 30, but they were told by the hospital chief, identified as Dr. Ellen Lumanog, that there will be no schedule of rotation for June anymore.
