Nepales holds many historic firsts — the first Filipina voting member and Associate of the Golden Globe Awards and its first Filipina Executive Secretary and Treasurer, also played a pivotal role as the Executive Producer of the Golden Globes for four consecutive years. Most recently, in August 2024, she became the first Filipina elected to the Golden Globe Advisory Board.
