SPEAKER Martin Romualdez has lauded the Marawi recovery initiatives of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., including the creation of the Office of the Presidential Adviser for Marawi Rehabilitation and Development (OPAMRD) under Executive Order (EO) 78, as well as the annual allocation of at least P1 billion for the reconstruction of the city that was shelled by terrorists in 2017.

In a statement, Romualdez said that Marcos' efforts "reflect the administration's deep commitment to addressing the long-standing issues that have delayed the full recovery of Marawi City and its surrounding communities."
