Status of Cebu cities, towns upgraded

CEBU CITY — The province of Cebu now has 25 first-class towns and five first-class cities, according to the latest income classification, highlighting the province's growing economic strength.

The upgrades, based on data released by the Department of Finance, through the Bureau of Local Government Finance, are expected to boost budget allocations that will support further development and ensure better services and infrastructure for local communities.
