After seven months of being silent, Petro Gazz's Marianne Buitre shares to the Manila Times how she has overcome the backlash of getting caught on camera doing a middle finger in a crucial call in a game against Creamline. This stemmed from a heated discussion that ensued following a block touch call against Petro Gazz on an attack by Creamline's Alyssa Valdez during a previous edition of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference. Buitre was forced to take a mental health break after fans let out a barrage of comments on social media although she clarified that she was neither suspended nor sanctioned by the league.
