THE mayor and vice mayor of a municipality in Bulacan along with three other respondents are facing more charges before the Office of the Ombudsman in connection with the alleged illegal repacking of relief goods from the Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD) intended for Typhoon Carina victims.
Jonnie Gonzales, the legal counsel of complainant Alexander Montilla, a resident of Marilao town, on Thursday told members of the Quezon City Press Club (QCPC) that they filed a supplemental complaint against Mayor Henry Lutao, this time in violation of the provisions of Republic Act 3019 otherwise known as the "Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act."
