CEBU CITY — The Department of Trade and Industry Central Visayas (DTI-7) confirmed that 35,000 merchants across Cebu province, including those in Cebu, Lapu-Lapu, and Mandaue cities, are selling Christmas lights that bear Philippine Standards (PS) marks.
DTI-7's Consumer Protection Division chief, Epefania "Joy" Suralta, stressed the importance of purchasing products that are compliant with the government's safety standards or Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) marks, which indicate that the lights have passed rigorous testing and certification by the Bureau of Philippine Standards.
