MANILA, Philippines — Petro Gazz survived the challenge of Akari in the first two sets before cruising through the third frame for a 28-26, 29-27, 25-18 win in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Thursday, Dec. 5.
Brooke Van Sickle led the scoring for Petro Gazz with 19 points on 15 attacks, three blocks, and an ace along with 13 excellent receptions to lead the Angels to their second consecutive win.
Myla Pablo chipped in 15 points while Aiza Pontillas and Remy Palma added seven points each.
Three Chargers scored in double digits as Ivy Lacsina put up 21 points while Grethcel Soltones and Eli Soyud added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Petro Gazz joined PLDT and Chery Tiggo with a 3-1 win-loss card, while Akari fell to a 2-3 card.
