Plastic banknote series to be launched next year

THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will launch a full series of plastic banknotes early next year following the introduction of the 1000-Piso polymer bill in 2022.

It said that the First Philippine Polymer (FPP) Banknote Series, which will begin circulation in the first quarter of 2025, will highlight the country's biodiversity.
