(UPDATE) A MINOR phreatomagmatic eruption that lasted for four minutes occurred over Taal Volcano in Batangas province on Tuesday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Phivolcs director Teresito Bacolcol told The Manila Times that the volcanic burst happened around 5:58 a.m. at its main crater which generated a 2,800-meter grayish plume as captured by Buco Observation Station in the island.
