STARTING Dec. 12, 2024, ACMobility, the Ayala Group's mobility solutions arm, will begin charging fees for its electric vehicle (EV) charging services in the National Capital Region (NCR). This shift comes as ACMobility seeks to improve and sustain its growing network of charging stations to meet the increasing demand from EV owners.

For EV drivers, this means that charging will now cost P28.50 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for AC charging and P35 per kWh for DC charging. While this marks the end of free charging, the company emphasizes that the move is necessary to maintain a high standard of service and ensure a reliable charging network for the long term.
"Introducing fees for EV charging allows us to reinvest in the network, ensuring that every charging experience is reliable, convenient, and up to the high standards our customers expect," said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, ACMobility CEO. "We know this is a change for our customers, but we're committed to making the transition as smooth as possible while continuing to deliver worry-free journeys across NCR and beyond."
The fees are also designed to encourage better availability of charging stations by promoting timely charging sessions, giving more EV owners the opportunity to charge when they need it most.

ACMobility's charging stations are designed with user convenience in mind, featuring cutting-edge technology for fast and secure charging. Through the EVRO app, EV drivers can easily locate nearby stations, check compatibility, monitor their sessions, and pay seamlessly without cash.
At the same time, ACMobility is also committed to providing reliable customer support, ensuring that users feel confident and supported at every stage of their charging journey.

This step is part of a larger vision. ACMobility plans to roll out over 250 charging points at more than 100 locations across the Philippines by the end of 2024. By charging fees, the company can fund the expansion and keep its promise to deliver exceptional service as the EV community continues to grow.
The fees, approved by the Department of Energy (DOE), align with ACMobility's mission to support the country's shift toward electric mobility. With the Calabarzon, NCR and other regions adopting EVs at a growing pace, a sustainable charging network is key to building confidence in this greener way of travel.
For many EV owners, ACMobility stations have been an integral part of their journey. While the introduction of fees might feel like a change, the promise of a more sustainable network ensures better support for EV drivers now and in the future.
