BIMP-EAGA Friendship Games gets underway

PUERTO PRINCESA — The Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines – East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Friendship Games officially starts today here. Running until Dec. 5, this would be the 11th edition of the tournament and the first since 2018 when Malaysia claimed the overall championship in Brunei.

Aiming to achieve sports excellence and fortify their friendship, the aforementioned countries battle in eight sporting events namely, archery, athletics, badminton, esports, karate, pencak silat, sepak takraw, and swimming.
