"Broken Blooms" of BenTria Productions took home five major awards at the 39th Star Awards for Movies, while Khai Flores and Shira Tweg, stars of "Sugat sa Dugo" by Dragon Entertainment Productions took home New Movie Actor and Actress awards.

Hosted by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) on November 24 at Winford Resort and Casino Manila, Flores and Tweg personally accepted the award for their film which focuses on HIV/Aids awareness.
