THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday that it is closely monitoring the possible formation of a low pressure area (LPA) west of Palawan or eastern Visayas.
"Based on our data and analysis, the weather disturbance, however, was not expected to affect the country since it would not develop into a tropical depression," weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
