'Ease up on storm-hit teachers' loans'

EDUCATION Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara urged private financial institutions to declare a moratorium on loan payments for teachers affected by the series of typhoons that hit the country recently.

'I sincerely hope that, in times of need, even the private sector, including the esteemed financial institution, would find reason to extend to them this much-needed help,' read Angara's letter dated Nov. 26, 2024.
