5 police officers hurt in Manila protest rally

(UPDATE) AT least five police officers sustained injuries when anti-riot police clashed with members of militant groups during a Bonifacio Day protest on Saturday on Recto Avenue in Manila.

The altercation occurred as authorities blocked protesters from marching toward Mendiola, a historically symbolic site for rallies and demonstrations.
