TABUK CITY, Kalinga — The provincial board here has passed two resolutions adopting Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo and Senior Associate Justice Marvic Mario Victor Leonen as "sons" of Kalinga, while citing their contributions to the judiciary and the nation.
Gesmundo received the native name Magma-u which means "intelligent and brave," through Resolution No. 2024-322, while Leonen was given the name Wanawan, meaning "brilliant and courageous," by virtue of Provincial Board Resolution No. 2024-323.
