DURING my time, long hair was the fad. If you had short hair, you were a nerdish guy confined to long hours in the library. Long hair indicated the coolness of dudes, with bell bottom jeans and T-shirts, hanging out at the parking lots in Diliman. And how we disliked compulsory military training (PMT in high school and ROTC in college), marching under the sun and being forced to have short hair measured by three fingers above the ear.
Today, I have the exact opposite attitude.
