World's oldest man dies in England at 112

LONDON — John Alfred Tinniswood held the title of world's oldest man for nearly nine months, during which he marked his 112th birthday.

His record-holding status ended on Monday when Tinniswood died in a care home in northwestern England, near the city of Liverpool, where he was born on Aug. 26, 1912, his family said in a statement.
