CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco) — the lone power distributor in the province — marked a significant milestone as it received a certificate of award for the full payment of its loan from the Development Bank of the Philippines.
It took the power cooperative 16 years to settle the P700-million loan it secured in November 2009 for its mini-hydro power plant project that has been instrumental in advancing renewable energy in its service area.
