ACCORDING to a report on Wednesday, the government of Indonesia turned down an offer by tech giant Apple to invest $100 million in the country in exchange for the lifting of a ban on the sale of the Apple iPhone 16 in Indonesia. The ban was imposed last month in an effort to compel Apple to source at least 40 percent of its newest phone's components from Indonesia-based manufacturers, and it follows a similar ban placed on Google's Pixel phone.
