NOT too long ago, I felt very privileged to witness the maiden show of Filipinxt in New York City. The multi-cultural city, as one of the fashion capitals of the world, was and is a fitting venue to bring Filipino world-class designers to the global stage.

'There has never been a dedicated Filipino American Fashion Week in New York,' notes Filipinxt co-founder Rob Mallari-D'Auria. Recognizing Filipino talent and paving the way 'to showcase the amazing Filipino designers in one of the biggest fashion capitals in the world...,' he hopes that 'Filipinxt will serve as a blueprint or playbook for other designers or creatives to replicate.'
