TACLOBAN CITY — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) has authorized an increase of P500 in the monthly compensation of domestic workers in Region 8 (Eastern Visayas), benefiting some 57,000 people.
The new wage order, which will take effect on Dec. 2, will include a P500 increase on the current monthly minimum wage rate, leading to an updated value of P6,000 for chartered cities and municipalities and P5,500 for other municipalities.
