DAVAO CITY — Cities and towns in Cebu have rallied to defend the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo festival against claims of being a wasteful use of public funds, highlighting its cultural significance and economic benefits.
On Wednesday, the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Cebu Chapter, and the component cities of Talisay, Naga, Carcar, Toledo, and Bogo, issued a manifesto of support for the festival.
