LEGAZPI CITY — As numerous major infrastructure projects in Albay easily crumpled at the height of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, Bicol's bishops and clergy have sought for accountability and appealed to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the governor, lawmakers, LGU officials, and national government agencies to take measures to ensure durability of future projects.

In an open letter on Nov. 24, the Diocese of Legazpi led by Bishop Joel "Bong" Baylon issued an urgent call for accountability and action in the aftermath of Typhoons Kristine and Pepito, which struck Albay Province on Oct. 22 and Nov. 15, 2024, respectively.
