BACOLOD CITY — Six confirmed members of the Southwest Front New People's Army (NPA) died in an encounter with troopers belonging to the 47th and 15th Infantry Battalion in Barangay Gatuslao, Candoni, Negros Occidental at about 3:40 in the morning on Thursday, Nov. 21, 302nd Infantry Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Joey Escanillas reported.

Escanillas said the encounter lasted for 45 to 50 minutes.
