RIZAL Green Energy Corp. said Thursday that its business unit, Dagohoy Green Energy Corp. (DGEC), had switched on the 27 megawatt-peak Dagohoy Solar Power Project (DSPP) in Bohol.

The first utility-scale solar power plant in the province, consisting of more than 40,000 panels installed in a 22-hectare site, is expected to produce 41,000 megawatt hours annually — enough to supply over 18,000 homes — and help reduce emissions equivalent to 28,642 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually.
