MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday expressed hope for a "comprehensive, just and lasting peace" as Ukraine's war with Russia reached its 1,000th day.

In a statement posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Marcos tagged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and reiterated his administration's support to its "valued partner."
