CONTRARY to claims of producers' groups, there is no oversupply of sugar, in fact production in November was lower compared to last year, the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) said in a statement.

SRA administrator Pablo Luis Azcona explained that, as of Nov. 10, domestic production of refined sugar totaled 26,279 metric tons (MT), or 61 percent lower than the 67,053 MT last year.
