ILOILO CITY — Outgoing Makati City Mayor and senatorial aspirant Abigail Binay said she will prioritize the amendment of the obsolete provisions of the 33-year-old Local Government Code once elected in the 2025 midterm elections.
Binay told The Manila Times that among the provisions of the Code that require urgent reform are the framework concerning barangay treasurers and local government officials' compensation.
