SENATE President Francis Escudero filed a resolution to honor former senator Juan Ponce Enrile, now chief presidential legal counsel, for his "untiring service" and contributions to the country.

In filing Senate Resolution 1223, the senator said Enrile, now 100 years old, has been serving the country in various capacities for almost 60 years. Enrile was Senate president from November 2008 to June 2013.
