KIA Asia Pacific held its inaugural Kia EV Day in the region, unveiling its latest electric vehicles (EVs) and concepts in a push toward sustainable mobility. The event highlighted Kia's commitment to the EV revolution with new models and futuristic designs.
The spotlight of the event was the Kia EV3, set to launch in select Asia-Pacific markets in 2025. The compact SUV brings advanced features from Kia's flagship EV9 into an affordable, entry-level EV option. Built on Kia's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV3 includes high-tech driver assistance systems, ensuring safety and convenience. Kia also introduced the EV4 Concept, a sleek sedan blending modern luxury with high-tech features, and the PV5 Concept, a versatile platform designed for diverse uses like ride-hailing and logistics. These concepts showcase Kia's vision for adaptable and future-focused EV designs. Kia aims to broaden its EV lineup and production, with plans to establish six global EV production bases by 2025, supporting its goal to sell 1.6 million EVs annually by 2030. Alongside EVs, Kia will continue to offer hybrid and internal combustion engine models in emerging markets. Kia EV Day underscores the brand's commitment to an EV-centric future, emphasizing a greener, more connected world through innovative mobility solutions.
