MANILA, Philippines — Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Erwin Garcia assured the public on Sunday that the automated counting machines (ACMs) to be used in the elections next year are safe from possible flooding from Super Typhoon Pepito.

More than 100,000 ACMs that have been delivered by the joint venture of MIRU Systems of South Korea were stored in the poll body's warehouse in Binan, Laguna.
