MANILA, Philippines: Chelsea Manalo, the country's candidate in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant being held in Mexico City, Mexico, made it to the semi-finals.

The 25-year-old was the 17th candidate to be called in the Top 30.

"It has always been my dream since I was a little girl. I was that girl who looked into the mirror and pretended I was representing the Philippines in the Miss Universe stage," Manalo said.
