The last supermoon of 2024 dazzles the skies of Venezuela on Nov. 15, 2024 as the 'beaver moon' rose high over Caracas city. People gathered at lookouts to attempt to capture the moment on camera and enjoy the shining moon. A full moon is classified as a supermoon when it reaches its closest point to Earth in its orbit, appearing up to 7 percent larger in diameter as seen from the ground in comparison to an average sized full moon.
