Baste shocks San Beda to cap season on high note

MANILA, Philippines — San Sebastian College-Recoletos stunned defending champion San Beda University, 77-70, to cap its season pleasantly in the NCAA 100 men's basketball tournament on Saturday at the Cuneta Astrodome.

San Sebastian finished with a 6-12 win-loss record, while San Beda (10-8) will now move ahead and brace for College of Saint Benilde (14-4) in the Final Four.
