LEGAZPI CITY — Mayor Nelson Legacion has been facing a backlash from the people of Naga as 15 village chieftains are urging him to resign from his post following his alleged mishandling of disaster response.
The 15 barangay captains — Ferdinand de Hitta of Balatas; Jacky Villafuerte of Penafrancia; Ronald Luntok of Liboton; Julius Cezar Sanchez of Dayandang; Felix Matias Largo, Sta. Cruz; Veronica Panganiban, San Isidro; Josephine Camba, Bagumbayan Sur; Raquel Tutanes, Bagumbayan Norte; Rodrigo Agravante of Kararayan; Francis Mendoza, Concepcion Pequena; Arthur Matos, Mabolo; Efren Nepomuceno, San Francisco; Maria Cristina Intia of Dinaga; Jose Penas, Del Rosario; and Domingo Ramos of Panicuason — told the mayor in letter dated Nov. 11, 2024, that they wrote on behalf of the city and its constituents to convey their resentment, anger and disappointment over his handling of the city government.
