CEBU CITY — A 10-year-old boy suffered severe injuries on Tuesday, Nov. 12, after a steel rod pierced his left eye in a freak accident in Sitio Santo Niño, Barangay Apas, Cebu City.

The incident left residents stunned and raised questions about the safety of makeshift structures in the area.
