Metro Manila under Signal No. 1 — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday night placed Metro Manila under Signal No. 1 as Typhoon 'Pepito' moved west-northwestward over the Philippine Sea east of Eastern Visayas.

In the weather bureau's 11 p.m. bulletin, Signal No. 2 was raised over the following areas in Luzon and the Visayas:
